A legacy that began in 1954

Century’s story began in 1954 as 20th Century Plastics, a manufacturer focused on innovative plastic products for the rapidly growing photography and office products industries.

As photography became more accessible and businesses required better organization systems, the company expanded its product line to include photo albums, binders, archival storage products, document organization systems, presentation products, and office accessories. To reflect its expanding capabilities, the company was renamed Century Photo.

Over the following decades, Century earned a reputation for manufacturing high-quality products that helped individuals and organizations organize photographs, preserve important documents, improve workplace efficiency, and protect valuable collections. Thousands of businesses — from small companies to Fortune 500 organizations — trusted Century products.

A new chapter

The products remained strong. The brand remained respected.

Like many long-established businesses, Century experienced periods of both growth and challenge. Changes in ownership, shifting markets, and inconsistent customer experiences caused the company to lose some of the momentum that had made it an industry leader for decades.
